NOMA Chairs: Which Model to Choose for Each Role in Your Office

NOMA is the own brand of Factoryoficina for new office furniture, with contemporary lines and Nordic inspiration. It brings together chairs, desks and storage designed to work together. Its chair range covers everything from workstation for eight-hour use to the training room.

The NOMA chair collection currently includes 20 models in stock, grouped into six uses. They can be used to furnish an entire office with a consistent design language: workstations, executive offices, meeting rooms, training areas and dynamic workspaces.

For full working days in front of a screen, we recommend the ergonomic GENIUS or SANTOS models. Both feature a synchronised mechanism weight-activated mechanism with four locking positions, adjustable lumbar support, 4D armrests, an adjustable headrest — optional on GENIUS — and seat made from 50 kg/m³ high-density foam. They are the most comprehensive models in the collection.

Spanish Royal Decree 488/1997 requires chairs used at workstations with display screens to have adjustable seat height and an backrest that can be reclined and adjusted in height. GENIUS and SANTOS go beyond these minimum requirements. The weight-activated mechanism automatically adjusts the backrest resistance to the user's weight, with no need to turn any knobs. This makes them ideal for shared workstations where the user changes every day.

SANTOS complies with UNE-EN 1335, the standard for office chairs. Its frame is made from glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide, and its upholstery is flame-retardant. It is our recommended option for departments with intensive use or shift work.

For operational workstations, the choice depends on the mechanism and the backrest. . MUNDO is our recommended option for everyday use: synchronised mechanism, , backrest mesh and seat 50 kg/m³ foam for €126.65. SKY and PASSION add a high backrest and adjustable armrests. SENDA is the entry-level model in the collection.

All NOMA task chairs feature a swivel pyramid base and adjustable seat height. The differences lie in the mechanism: the synchronised mechanism coordinates the movement of the backrest with that of the seat , while the tilt mechanism reclines the entire chair. MUNDO, SKY and PASSION feature a 640 mm diameter nylon base with 30% glass fibre. This fibre increases the base's strength and durability. Their castors castors run quietly and are designed for delicate floors.

The executive chair from the collection is TIME, for €208.25 excluding VAT. It has backrest Upholstered high back, synchronised mechanism with adjustable intensity, adjustable armrests height-adjustable with an optional headrest. It can be upholstered in any of the available fabrics, allowing it to complement the look of any office.

TIME is made from beech plywood, both in the seat as in the backrest. The seat features 40 kg/m³ high-density foam, while the backrest, uses 30 kg/m³ foam. The seat depth of the seat ranges from 46 to 56 cm, and the height of the seat, from 48 to 57 cm.

An executive office where computer work is also carried out requires a chair with the adjustments of an workstation. TIME offers these features, with the presence of an backrest upholstered, with an overall height of 124 to 131 cm. To complete the executive office, TITAN visitor chairs share the same understated design language.

For meeting rooms and seating opposite a desk, we recommend TITAN, with a steel sled base chrome-plated and seat with 30 kg/m³ foam. It costs €138.55 with backrest upholstery and €140.25 with backrest flame-retardant mesh. For spaces that are frequently reconfigured, choose the stackable BISELO, BREGO, COSMOS and CAKE models.

Visitor chairs and waiting-area seating are covered by their own standard, UNE-EN 16139, updated in January 2026. CAKE is certified to this standard. CAKE combines a metal frame with a matching thermopolymer shell, available in white, black, pink or green, with an optional seat upholstered finish.

BREGO, BISELO, COSMOS and TITAN are sold in minimum quantities of two. This is the standard format for these models, which are ordered in pairs or for complete rooms.

PÉNDULO is an active support stool for high tables, height-adjustable desks and dynamic workstations. It costs €139 excluding VAT. Its height can be adjusted using gas lift from 53 to 75.5 cm, while its curved, non-slip base allows controlled rocking, encouraging movement throughout the working day.

Its seat is made from flame-retardant injected polyurethane foam and weighs 5.4 kg, making it easy to move from one workstation to another. It is manufactured under management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 14006.

INSST Technical Prevention Note NTP 1130 recommends considering a stool when the height-adjustable desk is used for standing work. PÉNDULO fulfils this role as a complement to the task chair, not as a replacement.
