Types of desks:
There are several types of desks, which we will explain below so that, when choosing one for our office, we can select the best option for our workstation.
The first decision is whether we want individual workstations or multiple workstations, also known as bench desks or call centre desks.
Rectangular Office desk:
This type of workstation consists of a desk with a rectangular desktop. You can choose where to position the pedestal and add a modesty panel if required.
Left- or right-handed Office desk:
This type of desk has a shaped desktop, so you will need to decide which side you want the shaped section to be on and choose either a right- or left-handed desk. This is determined while seated at the desk: on a right-handed desk, the shaped section will be on your right; on a left-handed desk, it will be on your left.
Desks with returns:
These are known as desks with returns. As with the previous model, you need to choose the orientation of the return, depending on whether you want it on the right or left. This allows you to make the most of your office layout and optimise the available space.
Bench desks or multiple workstations:
Operational Bench Desk Ref. 1540
These workstations are highly practical for people who work in teams, as colleagues sit facing one another, making communication easier and more fluid. They also save space and are available for two, 4, 6 or more people.
