Rocada

Rocada: from a garage in Taradell to the frameless whiteboard exported to 40 countries

Rocada started in 1976 in a garage in Taradell, manufacturing simple metal parts for furniture and whiteboards. Almost five decades later, and now managed by the second family generation, the company exports over half of its production to about 40 countries, with Germany as its main market and its own subsidiary in Hamburg.

Its catalog combines operational desks, executive desks, and ergonomic seating with a line of whiteboards where the SkinWhiteBoard stands out—a frameless whiteboard that adapts in length, size, and position depending on the available space. The brand has chosen to specialize in this specific field—furniture and writing surfaces—rather than expanding into digital products with tighter margins.

At FactoryOficina we value Rocada both for its workstation furniture and its whiteboards, especially in meeting rooms, planning spaces, or for teams that need to share information visibly and permanently.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rocada

It manufactures both: operational desks, executive desks, and ergonomic seating, in addition to its line of whiteboards, including the frameless SkinWhiteBoard.

• ● What is the difference between a SkinWhiteBoard and a conventional whiteboard?

It has no frame and can be adjusted in length, size, and position, making it easier to adapt to walls or spaces with unusual measurements.

• ● Where is Rocada from and since when has it been manufacturing?

It is a Catalan company founded in 1976 in Taradell (Osona), now managed by the second family generation and exporting to about 40 countries.

• ● When does it make sense to install a fixed whiteboard instead of using an easel?

When the room is used daily for planning or sharing information and you don't want to move and store the stand every time.

• ● Does FactoryOficina help combine Rocada furniture and whiteboards in the same project?

Yes, we assess which workstations need a desk and chair, and which rooms would benefit from adding a Rocada whiteboard to the same project.
