Sedus

Sedus: over 150 years manufacturing in Germany

Sedus Stoll was founded in 1871 and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2021, an unusual milestone in the office furniture sector. All its production maintains the "Made in Germany" seal, with a catalog that ranges from ergonomic seating to work and meeting desks, including storage and acoustic solutions.

Among its most recognizable seating series are Black Dot, se:motion, and Quarterback (the latter designed by Markus Dörner), models tailored for different usage profiles, from multi-hour operational workstations to visitor chairs in a meeting room.

At FactoryOficina we evaluate Sedus based on the type of workstation and the duration of use: what adjustment mechanism each chair needs, whether the room requires acoustic pieces to reduce noise, and how to combine seating and desks from the same range.
