Spinalis

Spinalis: a chair designed to move, not to stay still

Spinalis was born in 1999 in Ljubljana with a different premise from other seating manufacturers: instead of supporting the back with backrests and headrests, its flexible seat forces the body to constantly seek balance, activating the dorsal and abdominal muscles that a conventional chair keeps at rest.

Its catalog includes more than a dozen models (among them Explorer, Stylist, Spider, Smart, Rodeo, or Ergonomic), all built on the same active sitting base, with TÜV Austria certification and international patent. It is a niche brand: it does not manufacture desks, cabinets, or reception seating, only this type of seat.

At FactoryOficina we usually recommend Spinalis for people with back discomfort resulting from many hours sitting, or as a second chair that is alternated with the usual operational one during part of the day.

• ● Does Spinalis manufacture office desks in addition to chairs?

No, its catalog focuses exclusively on active sitting chairs; it does not manufacture desks, cabinets, or any other type of furniture.

It means that the seat is flexible and requires constant balance adjustment, which keeps the back muscles active instead of leaving them at rest.

It depends on each person; many users alternate it with a conventional chair during different parts of the day instead of using it continuously.

• ● What is the difference between the various Spinalis models?

They vary in the level of adjustment, finishes, and price, from more basic versions to more technical models within the same active sitting philosophy.

• ● Does FactoryOficina guide on whether a Spinalis chair is right for my case?

Yes, we help you evaluate if it makes sense based on your sitting hours and whether you would use it continuously or alternate it with another chair.
